We believe that wine makers are the chefs of the vineyards. At the restaurant we do our utmost to pay tribute to their extraordinary efforts and show their wines at their very best.

The wines are chosen for their suitability in matching the food we present. Each wine is evaluated on it's own merits, rather than a selection being made on the basis of medals or glowing reviews.

Region is also a factor, and we have a predominantly New Zealand list. We look for great wines from regions that are near to us: Martinborough, Marlborough, Hawkes Bay and Otago. Then we choose wines that we just have to have, be they from Australia, France or wherever. Our 'Hen's Teeth' list features our cellar wines and limited availability wines.

We use solely Riedel stemware for the service of our wines. "The finest glasses for both technical and hedonistic purposes are those made by Riedel.
